Dr. Tobias Steinherr is a specialist in biological dentistry, ceramic implants, aesthetic dentistry and prosthodontics.
He specializes in the planning and implementation of treatment cases using biological methods. His focus is on the use of biological materials, such as all-ceramic implants and ceramic crowns, as well as restorations based on the patient’s individual needs. His treatment spectrum includes gum correction surgery for covering exposed tooth necks, as well as aesthetic treatments with veneers or orthodontic aligners. He relies primarily on digital impression-free methods for precision and gentle procedures.
After studying and completing his state examination at Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich, Dr. Tobias Steinherr completed his residency in dental practices in Munich and Ingolstadt. This was followed by four years of comprehensive training and continuing education at an internationally renowned practice for oral surgery in southern Germany. This included implantology, bone augmentation, periodontal surgery, as well dental aesthetics. Thereafter he worked at a nationally renowned, private dental clinic east of Munich. Dr. Tobias Steinherr managed the department of oral surgery as a senior physician and later, as head physician he also managed the clinic’s medical department and supervised his dental colleagues. While working as a dentist, he also completed a master’s degree from the German Society for Prosthetic Dentistry and Biomaterials. He focused primarily on the planning and treatment of complex, extensive dental restorations.
During this time, he began his specialization in biological dentistry and ceramic implants. Dr. Tobias Steinherr and Dr. Rebekka Hueber, who at that time was head of the department of oral surgery at the same clinic, established the first biological treatment concepts in the clinic and introduced the use of ozone and A-PRF by Dr. Joseph Chokroun. This became an integral part of the surgical treatment protocols. Since 2021, he has been working as a biological dentist in Switzerland. Since May 2023, he has been overseeing the practice for Biological Dentistry in St. Gallen, in close cooperation with Dr. Rebekka Hueber and Dr. Artur Hein. He also is a speaker on the topics of biological dentistry and ceramic implants in the DACH region (Germany, Austria and Switzerland).
